The building housing at present CEiIK was erected at the beginning of the 20th century and served as a restaurant. After the war, since 1 October 1951, it functioned initially as Provincial Culture House of Labour Unions. In 1992 it was transformed into Regional Culture Centre and in 2002 in Centre for Cultural Initiatives (CEiIK).
